MG TD TF 1500 - Sidescreen box

Should there be a gap between the rear corners of the top of the sidescreen box and the rear of the car? If the lid is aligned with the supports attached to the wheel wells, there is about an inch and a half in each corner.

when you fit the rear trim panels, the top will butt up to them neatly.
I have the pieces ready to fit to a friends car once I am out of lockdown. Wish you luck trimmning the hood trim rail,very fiddley.

Thanks....Doug Pelton, From the Frame Up, has a nice video on his website which shows how to trim out the rear trim panels.i think that even I can follow it....FYI

Bill do you have the dimensions of that panel you are holding. I am away from the car and need to make one up ready.

Thanks but no.
I forgot there was a TD only 5 miles away I could measure. They are in the garage drying the paint.
Hope to fit them and struggle with the hood frame next week. A new tub with no reference points so should be fun.
I did my own 45 years ago so I hope the grey cells still work.
