MG TD TF 1500 - Silver Streak Gray

Good day to all,
Does anyone have a current paint code for Silver Streak Gray? Bill Chasser said in a previous post that he used Bill Howard's formula. I just found out about Bill's beloved Sarah, so I don't want to bother him. What do we have available to replicate the original Silver Streak Gray?

Thanks for any help you can give,

Jim
I have in my little book the following, I'm unsure if they're current formulas though, but i must have written them down for some reason-------?

ICI
Silver Streak Grey P030-2209
Fine Aluminium P421-993 43.40%
Blue Black 7.40%
Super White 1.60%
Super Red 1.20%
H/S Bright Yellow 1.00%
H/S Fast Blue 1.30%
Red Oxide 6.10%
Yellow Oxide 9.00%
Flip Controller 28.30%

And also Ditzler
72030
33676
I believe that some Silver streak cars had non metalic paint on the guards and front valance so maybe explains the two Ditzler codes

Don't know ,but might be worth chasing up

This all I have. Some may be current and others not so much.

Thanks Willy,
I think what you have is the code from Christopher Couper's site. My understanding is that this code is obsolete, but I am trying to confirm that. Both Bill Chasser and Bill Howard were able to match the correct color independently in the last few years but I am still trying to confirm their codes. Bill Howard sold his car and no longer has the data. Bill Chasser is going through some rough times right now and I am trying not to bother him with this if I can help it.

So I am still searching.

That paint recipe will be meaningless to any current paint shop. The best you can do is find a sample (where I don't know) and have it matched. Otherwise, just choose a silver shade that you like.

If memory serves me correctly Bob(R L)Schapel from South Australia who posts on the TC section here fairly regularly was chasing this up for a MGSA here about a year ago, maybe in the archives---?

Willy,
I contacted Bob, but he was looking for an MGA color. It wasn't the same silver as the TD SSG. Still looking if anyone has a SSG contact.

Thanks for the feedback,
Jim
