MG TD TF 1500 - Silverwater Park AUS photos
Can our friends from Sidney AUS post some pictures of the recent "Display Day and Concours" MG show? I'd enjoy seeing some of the competion cars in particular Rick |

A large number of photos have been posted in Gallery on The MG Car Club Sydney website Rick. Looks like they had about seven competition MGB's there. Matthew. |

Rick Further to Matthew's post above, here is a link to the MG Car Club Sydney photo gallery of the day http://www.mgcarclubsydney.com.au/photo-gallery-2017-mg-car-club-sydney-display-day-concours-delegance/ Stuart |

It makes me a bit sad. I don't think I saw anyone younger than 60 yrs old. It's the same in the USA at any vintage car show (that I've been to), and with some of our other hobbies. I'm 75 now. Where are our treasures going to end up in 10-20 yrs? Our daughters aren't particularly interested, tho' one son-in-law thinks he'll end up with our power boat (he's mistaken). Plan ahead. They'll continue to sell Al. The good cars are snapped up almost immediately here. My guess is that the younger people who do end up buying them don't wan't to hang out with a bunch of old fogies. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Thank you Mathew and Stuart for info about Seeing pictures . Actually my 24 year old daughter was in attendance (she lives in Sydney) and I wanted to see what she was pleased to see. I guess I misunderstood the meaning of "competition models" - I was thinking prewar racing models - J3,J4,K3,Q, etc. Rick |

You may like to see The Pre War MG Register of Australia website Rick. I hold the view that someone will own our cars, its just that they will get driven a lot less (already happening). Matthew. ![]() |
