MG TD TF 1500 - Something I can't Identify
I was inventorying my restoration parts to get a good idea if what I have and what I need. At the bottom of one of the bins was this thing. It is not something I am familiar with and don't think it comes from the TD. The machine screw goes through it and has an allen head. My only other thought is it is an MGB part, but I don't recognize it from that car either. ![]() ![]() |

I don’t recognize it either. There are no Allen heads on a TD. What is the thread type? If it’s not BSF , BA or Metric it doesn’t have any purpose on “your car”. |

It's not stock on any MG. |

Thanks folks. That is what I thought. I will bag it and put it in the misc. box. |

If I was going to guess, I would say the bolt goes in the other direction and it would have been used as some kind of fixed rotating pivot |

No idea what it came off of, but I suspect the bolt is in backwards. |
