MG TD TF 1500 - Speedometer fiber gears
Anyone ever find out where they can be had? I know the re-builders have them, but where can we buy them? PJ |

Check my posts in the Archive, alternatives may be found at a good hobby store. Even Lego may be a source. |

I've use ones out of other newer MG speedos |

Hi PJ, I have repaired those gears when they've had some teeth stripped out. I've got some pix that came from someone else's website showing the process. You make a mold from the old gear, using silicone rubber, then cast the missing section using JB Weld, or similar. Took me a cupla tries. I'll fwd the pix to you if you'd like, I'm sorry that I didn't save the website url. Al |

Now I can't find it. That's the name of the file that I found while searching the archives. Gotta try this again. Bud |

Search the archives for "cast gears', all words. Then open the thread called "Speedometer Help". Bud |
