MG TD TF 1500 - TC brakes, 2 leading shoes with TD parts
On TC front brake backing plates. Has anyone mounted TD parts to get 2 leading shoes? |

Wow. I think it would be easier to alter an MGA's backing plate to fit the TC spindle. If I find anything on that I'll report back. |

Soft shoes, Alfin drums and call it a day! My TC can just about outstop my MGA. |

Could you fit an MGB servo - it has been done on a Y(A), which also has single leading shoes at the front. |

Lots of people have fitted an MGB servo to TDs and TFs. The usual location for the servo is above the rear axle. I don’t know if it’s been done on a TC though. Dave H |

With better brakes, I think something would have to be done to withstand the greater twisting force, or torque reaction, on the TC front beam axle - which would not apply to the Y(A). |
