MG TD TF 1500 - TC gas tank
Does anyone have a graduated dipstick for a TC gas tank. I have a float guage on the top of my tank that doesn't quite reach the bottom of the tank. I'm always puckered when my gauge is on empty and I'm on the road. I'd be most interested in the gallonage in the bottom 6" and foot. It would be appreciated if you have the info to give me a shout. Thanks Charlie |

Charlie, I have this one that is graduated for TC on one side and TD/TF on the other. perhaps tomorrow I can photograph it next to a ruler so you can see the distances between the graduations. Precision - fair; accuracy - unknown. Jud ![]() |

I have a coupe here that I don't use because I like them too much. :) There's also a good change that the second link above was written by Mike himself. |

Steve, my TD was owned by a guy named John Peen (a doctor I think but I'm not sure) from San Diego. That's where my gas stick came from. I think John Penn bought the car from a local weather man in the early 70s or late 60s. The picture if John Penn and family in circa 1974. Any information that you might have on any of this would be appreciated. Thanks. Jud jchapin3 at aol dot com ![]() |
