I've vacationed Nova Scotia all my life, my sis and brother in law are building a new house on the south shore close to our family vacation home. I remember we toured Newfoundland several times when I was a kid. Absolutely spectacular scenery. I don't envy your winters though. As I remember, there was sometimes a week in August that was warmish.
