MG TD TF 1500 - TD and TC Radiator original Badges

Hi all,

Does anyone have a close up photo of an ORIGINAL TD Radiator shell MG badge ? Also, an original TC badge for comparison would be good if possible.

TFs of course had a different coloured black print with off white background for badges. Some of these badges were originally manufactured by Fray of Birmingham.

The TD2 I think may also have had a black/white
badge?

Rob I have a selection of used badges from different manufactures. I just need to find the box.

Thanks Rod. That's a good start.

For years, I've been trying to get the correct Pantone colour numbers. I've contacted everyone that might know, but always come up empty-handed.

Anyone know?

Ok. Some great photos of mainly TD MG badges.

Does anyone have other shots of TC badges?
I suspect TC badges are the same?

I looked up the part numbers for TC and TD "medallions" and they are the same for both. Of course that doesn't mean the same suppliers were used, etc. George

Hi All,

Thankyou to all contributors on my TD and TC badge queries.

In summary, it seems that the badges are very similar.
Perhaps the 'copper' coloured part of the lettering is slightly darker with regard to the TC compared to the TD.

However, as has been noted, there were quite a few suppliers of MG badges, not just FRAY. Also, TC badges
are a little older compared to TD ones so who knows
what slight changes to the 'coppery' look may have eventuated over time.
