MG TD TF 1500 - TD - gas tank tubing to pump
Does someone know the size of the copper tubing from the gas tank internal filter to the pump? |

5/16”. I buy it in a roll from my local refrigeration shop. Ferrules and nuts I get from FTFU. All the venders carry tubing kits. Bill Chasser TD-4834 |

Thank you - mine was all full of tar like substance - must replace |

Bill Would you happen to know where to get the mating fitting that screws into the filter Neither moss nor abington carries them |

See the 2nd post. FTFU (From The Frame Up) will have the ferrules to be sweat soldered to the ends of the tubing and the securing nuts. You can cut your old tube and reuse the nuts. Moss and AS sell the entire segment in kit form but still require the tubing to be cut to length Bill Chasser TD-4834 |

I think that did it - great help Thanks |

Happy New Year, I have two original fuel lines that I removed from my car and another rolling chassis. I have not evaluated them at all. Should I consider reusing one of them, or just move on and replace with new? Jim TD 17744 |

I would inspect them carefully for pluggage and rust - if no rust - clean out and reuse |

Thanks Michael, If there is no visible deterioration or blockage, do the fuel lines deteriorate from the inside-out? Jim |
JV Smith TD17744 |
should not if they were full of fuel all the time and in use - if not you could have had water collect in low spots and cause corrosion |
