MG TD TF 1500 - TD in Movie

Watched the Sandpiper (Burton/Taylor 1965). There is a red TD with white top in the parking lot of the Coastal Gallery about 43 minutes into the movie.

Apropos of nothing, I just have to mention that I was in that movie. Singing in a choir in one of last scenes. My co-stars were Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Charles Bronson, and Eva-Marie Saint. It's kind of a slow movie, that became known mostly for it's song, "The Shadow of Your Smile". Rumor has it that Sharon Tate was in some of the beach scenes, but I've never been able to spot her. Apparently Liz was jealous and had her kicked off the set. Somehow I missed the TD's!

Not a rumor. Easy Google:

"I know she (Elizabeth Taylor) was jealous of Sharon when they filmed "The Sandpiper" and Sharon's scenes were even deleted supposedly by request from Taylor. Taylor was also worried that Richard Burton might spot Sharon and try to flirt, so she had people on the set keep Sharon at a distance from him."

That is cool Barry. Only person I know that was in a movie was my father. Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis did a movie on his sub. Sailor Beware. He had a part when they are singing the sailors polka.

There are two cars in the parking lot when Taylor and Burton Drive in. Clear picture of a Red TD with white top and side curtains.

In the movie "The Graduate" Benjamin peers out the window of his rented room to see Elaine leave. Parked at the curb is a white MGB.
