MG TD TF 1500 - TD top radiator hose

Hi everybody,
My TD is mix between a TD and a TF concerning this top hose. The right angle elbow from the TF is mounted on the output of the head Then, there is a home made oblique pipe for alignment with the radiator inlet. The top hose needs to be changed but is the TD standard one the correct length ? Can someone tell me the length of the TD top hose ?

Laurent, the hose on my 51 TD is 4 inches in length.

Cant you post a picture of the arrangement that you have??

The hose which is in place, see pic, is 114 mm and is already a bit short so the standard TD hose would not fit.

If you need something longer than a TD hose, you might be able to locate a maker of Silicone hose of the required diameter and longer length. The silicone hose is much more flexable, and that flex bump in the standard td hose might not be needed.

I ordered a silicone hose from McMaster. It is 1 foot long (304 mm) long, You cut it to length. Other than being blue it worked perfectly.

5296K431 High-Temperature Coolant Hose, 2-1/8" ID, 2-1/2" OD, 50 PSI

The clamps are the right ones for silicone.

5204K12 316 Stainless Steel T-Bolt Hose & Tube Clamp, 2-5/16" to 2-5/8" Clamp Diameter Range, 3/4" Band Width

Thank you all. There are many french dealer for silicon hoses. But the minimum quantity is one meter. (French !)
