MG TD TF 1500 - TF 1500s How Many Left?
Any one know approximately how many of the 1500s are left or registered? How many matching number cars? I tried counting them from the list, but got lost in the sauce and it seems more are being added, which is nice. PJ |

Hi Paul, I have often pondered this question myself! Of the 3,400 TF1500s built at Abingdon,I suspect most went to USA ? We also have a 'matching numbers' ( genuine original 1500 motor in the original chassis) TF1500. Matthew Magilton has an extensive TF Register here in Australia listed on the Victorian MG Car Club web site. Cheers. Rob Grantham TF3719("Aramis"),TF9177("Athos"). |

I have records of 329 TF 1500's residing in Australia and around 70% of those survive. Matthew. |

In the UK there appear to be 900+ taking TDs and TFs together. A car must be licensed or declared "off road" (SORN) http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/mg_td_tf |

Thanks Matthew, that's 329 we know of, shame Geoffs chart doesn't break down between TFs and TDs, but I know the info is out there, it'll just take some time. PJ |

Matthew, Would you have any information or know who may have, how may TD's there are in Australia. John...Sydney |

Rob. Matthew has his own list. The one on the club website I maintain. I think Matthew's list has TF from all over, whereas the one I look after is basically only Victorian cars. Cheers. Ralph TF 9181. |

John you have mail. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Paul, its 70% of 329, not 329 surviving. John, a Melbourne MGCC member Doug Hastie has published an illustrated register of 312 TD's surviving in Australia in 2010. 500 TD's is probably closer. Matthew. |

Ralph, Thankyou for the maintenance of the Victorian TF Register web site. Didn't realise that. Great to meet up with you again at the Yarra Valley 2015 MG Nat Meet. Matthew and you are both so spoilt with the fantastic numbers of TFs in Melbourne and Victoria generally. The events that are available for driver/car to participate in create a bit of envy ! Cheers Rob Grantham TF3719("Aramis"),TF9177("Athos"). |

From looking at the "TF" offerings on EBay one would think that it is possible that more "TF" 1500's have survived than 1250's. |

TF #7157 is still very much alive and still has her original XPEG #993 on board |
