MG TD TF 1500 - TF Back board nut plates
I reached a "red letter day" this morning as I finally finished the complete disassembly of the tub. Much wood rot and rust to look after. From this point everything done is to reassemble back onto the TF project:) I did find something that I'm not sure of! On the back wooden plywood board on the interior are 8 nut plates, 2 up 2 Down pretty much in all 4 corners. What are these for? I've checked all the normal sources and don't seem to find a answer. Many thanks Rod Murray 54 TF |

There are 8 t nuts to hold the tank supports I place and 4 more for the Side curtain box. Picture of mine as I took it apart.

In the attached picture, you can see the BOLTS that hold the gas tank supports on. (Bottom Frame) There are 8 as noted in the previous post. In the top frame, if you look closely you can see the T-nuts that secure the BOLTS to the backer board. They have a T shaped flange not a round flange. This is a TD but I would expect the TF to be similar. They are 1/4" BSF. Jim B. ![]() |

Jim, Rick and JK.... You are all correct ... I can now see the exterior marks where the tank supports were attached. Many thanks for the comments and photos:) Rod |
