MG TD TF 1500 - TF rear axle 1/2 shaft.

Is there any difference between the 1/2 shaft( rear axle) for disc wheels and wire wheels?

Exactly the same, and interchangeable L/R.
150 lbs/foot torque

Thanks Ray.Exactly as I thought.Had a so called reputable MG dealer tell me today that they were different.

I have done a couple of conversions with friends without removing shafts,so I am sure.

Ray... I would like to see how you did the conversions without removing the axles.

The wire wheel hub assembly is a direct swap for the disc wheel brake drum. front and rear.
See service parts list, plate B.
Most UK cars came disc wheels so it is a common swap over here

And I have heard not good to put a used RH one in the LH side or the opposite. With new would be no problem.

I would not advocate swapping used axles, I was only saying left and right were the same part number.
