MG TD TF 1500 - TF Slightly Off Color
Poor fuzzy photo, but seen at a major Brit car show. Sure would stand out in a crowd! I like it, but I'm slightly out of tune with the correctness police anyway, just slightly. LOL! PJ

I remember a friends father selling the Naylor TFs when I was in my teens. They were a quality recreation. Can't believe I kept this from the newspapers. Unfortunately I don't have a year on it. I wonder are any still around. Big money at the time £26k

If you go to the NEC Classic Car Show in November you probably see a Naylor TF. The owners' club has exhibited for many years. There was one at the Silverstone event earlier this year parked amongst real TFs. Jan T |

The Nayler TF was a great car. The only faults were the way the hood opens, and the dash. Outside of these two BIG flaws, I loved that car. Be well, David |

Did Nayler design their own chassis? Are there any specs on the car, engine, drive train etc? Did they use any MG parts? PJ |

Hi Paul, Naylor's own chassis and suspension. BMC 'O' Series engine and gear box. 14" wheels. Naylors later sold out to Hutsons who made a number of cars and branded them under their own name. Hutsons are still very much in business making Jaguar and T Series body parts. I was at their factory in Bradford a couple of years ago and they have spares for the cars they manufactured. I noticed a pile of about twenty radiator shells. If you go to the YouTube video of Hutsons making a T Series body you will be enthralled for half an hour. Also go to the Naylor 1700 owners' club site for lots of info. I have seen a number of them in the flesh and the build quality is very good - certainly not a home built kit car. Points I didn't like we're forward hinged doors with the hinges protuding into the foot wells, modern door handles and rigid windscreen frame. Jan. T |

Lots of MG derived parts, but the O series engine is not the best and some detail points are a bit clunky. Overall, very nice little cars. Dave H |
