MG TD TF 1500 - Tires again

Hi gang

Well I have procrastinated enough, time for new tires. One final survey from satisfied users before getting out the old credit card. Checked Coker's site and they indicate they have Vredestein Sprint Classic for sale for $119 plus shipping. They also have Michelin XZX for $126 with no shipping cost. I vaugely remember some concern expressed about Cokers Michelins some time ago while people who have purchased Vredesteins were completely satisfied. Is this still the case or was the Michelin information incorrect?

As of a year or so ago, the Michelins were now made at a Michelin plant in Serbia. My set was absolutely identical to the ones that used to be made in France or Italy. George

TF 6688. WE HAVE DRIVEN SEVERAL YEARS ON THE VREDERSTEIN 155, WHICH TOTALLY ADEQUATE FOR A T CAR.

WHY EVERYONE WANTS TO GO BIGGER ON TYRES IS BEYOND ME.
I THINK THEY LOOK "FAT" ON AN MG.

TYRES PERFORMS GREAT.

I BOUGHT MINE FROM A DEALER IN CARLISLE PA FOR $75 EACH. SHOP AROUND.

165s Too fat? My car handles and rides like a dream with them. To each his own, but 155s will not go on my car. PJ

Wasn't there an issue reported a coupe of years back with some Vredesteins having creasing on the inside wall? If they have corrected it, then fine.

No experience with the newest crop of XZX, but the Sprint Classic 165 is a great tire.

I wonder what is going to be said by Trumphie about some of Cooker tires being made in Mexico ?? Extra tax to come into the US ???
