MG TD TF 1500 - Torque list
Has anyone a list of the various required torques required in assembling a XPAG engine please?

See http://www.ttalk.info/Clark/Torque%20Settings%20-%20XPAG.htm Or, go to http://www.ttalk.info/ and click on Search/Tips at top and enter torque in the Search engine. Bud

This has been noted in the past. I believe that the torque setting for 8mm rocker tower bolts in WKF Wood’s manual is too high. Should be around 16 ft-lbs as in Dave Braun’s info that is also on Bud’s site. Lonnie TF7211
LM Cook
Lonnie: torque the large rocker stand bolts to 43 foot-pounds, the small ones to 19 foot-pounds (published torque values are wrong) From Tom Lange. I also disagree with 33 F/P for the Gudgeon clamp bolts. Len Fanelli Abingdon Performance Ltd.

Len, What should the gudgeon value be? Jim

See bottom of page https://www.mg-cars.org.uk/mgtd/mgtd_engine_fasteners.htm
Christopher Couper
Correct Christopher. Oh by the way REAR AXEL HUB NUT 170 - 200 LBFT FRONT AXEL HUB NUT 40 - 70 LBFT (Axel was my grandfather's name his farm wagon had an Axle) https://www.crower.com/rod_bolt_torque/ 25 F/# And more as in the MG TABC group files. Also Mini Mania shows 22-25 F/P for the same size bolt ( 5/16" =7.9 MM) Len
