MG TD TF 1500 - Toyota Supercharger
Good Evening I am looking at options for supercharging my TC and have received great advice from Bob Schapel and others in historic racing. It is impractical to try and find a period unit and Eaton M45 blowers are scarce. I have seen several cars fitted with the Toyota SC14 unit and have heard no adverse reports. Does anyone here have one fitted? if so would you have drawings available for making the manifolds, support brackets, idler pulley, crankshaft pulley etc. Also would appreciate comments on levels of satisfaction. Many thanks Peter TC9356 |

Jeff Redman, also from down under, installed one from an MR2. Here's a link to some of his photos: http://www.mg-tabc.org/supercharger/j_redman/super-charger-JR.htm |

An interesting photo that might get your thoughts gathered: I've also seen a few pics of blowers with A/C clutches fitted so it can be turned on and off. .. ![]() |

Hello Peter this supercharger just came up on ebay usa. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Custom-MG-TC-Supercharger-/201364748218 The way it looks to me is that the supercharger sits on the spark plug side. Butch |

Hi You mentioned Eaton 45. I have a 75 for sale, that I have used on a XPAG in my TD for a while. It is complete with carb, manifold, supports, filter, belt and an adjustable pulley, that can easily give the desired pressure. This pulley also makes it much easier to fit the belt. I started with 0.75 bar, but that was too much for the cylinder head gasket, so I reduced it to maximum 0.5 bar. It worked very well indeed, but now I have installed an Eaton 45 just for the fun of it. The design for both are very compact so the horn has not to be relocated. In a near future I might also be able to supply a 45. That will also be equipped as the 75 above. yngve(at)powermaxmotor.se Tried to upload images but it didn't work?? If intersted send me your adress. |

That Ebay supercharger set up looks a bit odd to me - I can't imagine bolting that to my engine. Seems a back-asswards! |
