MG TD TF 1500 - Tub Step at top of TD Door Pillar
I need to get back to the original shape of the step in the tub at the top of the door pillar, which I'll be recreating using bog, (I decided against the lead), so could someone please post some pics of this area. Close ups front on, side on, from the inside, from the top & with the door open & closed. I've looked under doors in the archive & found plenty of pics but none of this area. I'm now looking through the gallery on CC's site. THIA. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Peter, I'm sure it's a matter of geographic semantics, but could you possible post an image of the area that you are asking about? What's bog? Bud |

Ozzie term for body filler Bud. As I've just hand made & replaced the metal skin on both the edge of the door & the B pillar, I need to reshape the stepped junction at the top of the pillar to get a flowing line from the tub to the door. I just need a reference. The driver's side doesn't look quite right so I don't want to copy that. Pics of what I have now on the passenger side would just show an ungodly mess. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

That's it Jud. Now I just need one or two close ups from the front with the door open. Thanks mate. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Peter Is the TF the same profile in this area? Let me know and I will take the shots you require. Graeme |

Dunno Graeme. The TD & TF doors are not the same but I guess the step detail would be similar. Joe Olson, Chris C, George Raham & Jack Emdall would have the original detail as I think these guys all have unmolested TD's. Be great to compare their pics of this area. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Thanks guys. One up close with the door open shot from the front & I'm sorted. Nice lead work PJ & yours has to be the best front door gap to body I've seen Dave. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |
