MG TD TF 1500 - Type of screw for the seatback brackets
What type of screw head is used to secure the seat adjustment brackets and the seat back transverse bar to the back of the seat on a TD? |

I think chrome plated Philips head 2BA for brackets (which screw into round "T-nuts", wood screws for bar. |

I have not seen a seat back behind the scenes since forever but weren't some of those woodscrews or were they all machine screws? |

Look at Moss chrome page- they show the screws and T-nuts for the brackets. 99% sure the bar is held on with wood screws. https://mossmotors.com/screw-mirror-mounting?assoc=51710 |

OK. I miss read your first post George and did not catch that you spelled out the bar was anchored with wood screws. :-( |

I thought they were slotted brass? Perhaps plated. |

Today I replaced my old slotted screws with stainless Phillips screws that go into T nuts I fitted 40 years ago when I restored the car. T nuts used for the bar as well since they are more robust. |
