MG TD TF 1500 - UK engine rebuilders

Does anybody know of an engine rebuilder used to our engines in the Hereford area?. A friend is in need of some work being done.

I am now asking for advice about recommendations anywhere in the UK, as I am unable to help him myself.

Ray. I used Mass Racing, who are fairly close to me at Great Gransden (they do some work for a certain MG outfit in Baldock). There is / was one guy there that knew a great deal about XPAG engines and was very helpful.

PS sounds like one of the above posters has located where one of the above companies use for their engine builds! Mass are a well known race engine builder.

I am just suggesting names to ask for info, not recommending anywhere or anyone. Picking or recommending an engine rebuilder is a bit like picking or recommending a builder, plumber or electrician - personal choice and check them out yourself for what you value. I would think worth travelling a distance to get what you want and are happy with.

Also see if Steve Baker MG has any suggestions?

Mass Racing did a good job on my engine, though I did the assembling. It was bored to +0.080" and by good luck a certain G Brown dropped by and was able check it was suitable. I have also seen Malcolm G there. They also completely rebuilt a Ford Twin Cam for a friend of mine. Plus there were race prepped Morgans being worked on. I suspect they work on engines of all ages and types, except very modern.
