MG TD TF 1500 - Using the search feature on this forum

Hoping to refresh my knowledge base a bit, I thought I'd look up some info on setting up ignition timing. Searching for 'timing' and 'advance' returns nothing.

It's not possible that those two topics have never been discussed in the TD-TF forum, so what's the story?

Click on "Archive" instead of "Search". I don't understand the Search feature either.

I've only ever used 'Archive' Mitch. Search there using the key word in the title otherwise you'll be swamped. Cheers

I have taken on board the search criticisms and made some changes.

The normal search linked from the live BBS now gives the same options as the Archive search and restricts searches to the subject you started from. This simplifies the search criteria selection. If you want to search the whole live BBS you can still do that by starting at the Subjects page and using Search there. Equally the Archive search remains unchanged.

So now you can search the live or archive BBS for a TD/TF only from the live BBS search link. When you click on "live BBS" from the archive results it will return you to the TD/TF forum if you started the search there.

Hoping these changes improve functionality for you.

Now I see it - Search is only for looking in live threads, i.e., this year's threads. Bud

Not exactly Bud. It was doing that - but now you have the option of searching in the Archive as well as the live threads. It's for those that don't venture out of the live thread area but want more information.
