MG TD TF 1500 - What holds this on?
The chrome bracket that mounts on the inner fenderwell that holds the seat back adjusting bracket. What holds it on? I have two plates with studs that bolt up from the bottom of the fender that I took out of there, but I am hearing from a restorer that they were originally rivited in. That does not seem correct. |

I'm pretty sure that there are pics that show this on Chris's site Bruce in the Galley of 'barn finds'. You may have to spend some time finding the images that you seek. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Is the consensus that the part that goes under the fender was painted body color? We talk about cost savings, and this obviously was put on after the body was painted, but it is entirly possible they painted batches of these that were then put on the line to be added to the car. |

I favor CAD or black. Mine is chrome because I sent it out at the same time as the bracket it attaches to. I have no idea what it was before. Too long ago to remember. |
