MG TD TF 1500 - What is this spacer?
As I've had no definitive response I've started another thread. I have a couple of unknown parts and would appreciate assistance in identifying them. They can best be described as steel circular spacers, or a short length of rod with a central hole. The dimensions of each are as follows. Both are 0.625" OD; 0.325" ID. One is 0.325" long and the other is 0.373" long. It is possible that they belong somewhere in the engine. One could be the spacer that fits on the dynamo bolt beside the timing chain cover? The exhaust pipe spacer that hangs from the triangular bracket near the gearbox mount is much larger, so neither belong there. Cheers

I remember the spacers when I was working on the rear of the car. Either the bumpers or the spare tire mount but I can't remember! I think Steve is on the right track. Frank TF1414 |

Peter This might assist; https://abingdonspares.com/collections/mgt-engine-external Items 156 and 43 might be what you are looking at. Graeme |

Thanks Graeme. These are also what I was thinking were the most likely. Apart from the slight difference in length they are both identical. The bumper spacers are WAY too big. Thanks mate. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

156 = 3/4" dia and 1/4" thick so not that and 43 is a nut |

William Yea my blue on item 43, due for new glasses. I wonder if item 156 might be different on the XPAW. Peter has inherited considerable parts from one. Only other item that comes to mind are spacers of the engine steady. Graeme |
