MG TD TF 1500 - Which fan belt?
My fan belt is too long - 40" - NAPA 25-22392. IMHO should be shorter by abt an inch. Must be of the serrated kind - they run cooler. Suggestions? Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

I use B36, don't know what serrated number is. |

The last three digits of the fan belt part number are the length - in your case, 39-2/8". (I have always used that 22392 belt, and it has always fit fine.) You just need to ask for a shorter length than 39-1/4". Tom Lange MGT Repair |

Gord ---BX36--- is the belt you are after-It's a 39" B section cogged belt Belt Size: 5/8" X 39" like this, but most industrial belt suppliers would have them- https://www.3bgsupply.com/bx36-bestorq Cheers willy |

Tom, 22392 is what I am using, but its very close to the side panel. So I guess I will need a 22390. Thanks all Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |

Gord, 17x940mm which is 37". Zoom in and you can read it. You can see the adjusting bracket is dead centre on my car. Regards Declan ![]() |

Declan, I can't bear to look at your engine. Its too clean! I ended up buying a 39" belt. Don't know why, but the standard belt is 40" and comes too close to my side panel (TF). However problem seems to be solved. Thanks all. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |
