Joe is first-rate, but is very busy. I also highly recommend Bob Johnson of Claremore, OK - excellent workmanship, strong carb work, and quite prompt. Tom Lange MGT Repair |

I'll do them. But with MG 2016, June is going to be busy. dave@dbraun99.com Warmly, Dave |

Any good machinist should be able to do the job. Cheers Peter TD 5801 |

Sorry, Peter, but at least around here it's not so easy. Drilling and installation of new bushings is not complicated, but most machinists do not have a reamer of the proper dimensions, long enough to do both bushings at the same time - it's a specialty item. Most shops use adjustable reamers, which are not long enough. Tom |

Tyler, I am Surprised they are worn out after 15 years. How many miles? Regards, tom |

Tom, Probably about 30,000 miles. There was obvious wobble between the throttle shaft and carb body once I disassembled everything, and visible wear on the brass shaft. The result was a variable idle rpm that changed constantly, as high as 1800 rpm, or low enough to stall the car. The wear could be (partially) due to the lateral stress presented by the 2 throttle return springs. Tyler |
