MG TD TF 1500 - XPAG Crankshaft needed
One of my customers, Rob @ Pete's European Techniques is looking for a good used crankshaft, prefers the later "100 ton crank" that has numbers like 558. The earlier ones have letters only. Please contact him directly @ +1 724 859 2689 Safety Faster! Len |

Len, and others. If I remember correctly, I have a Wolseley 4/44 crank shaft in my recently re purchased XPAG TF. This was done some 50 years ago, so my recollection is somewhat vague. Just wondering if anyone can verify this compatability, as it may help sourcing these cranks. These Wolseleys had, I think a 1500 motor, and were quite popular here in Oz in the late 50's. Perhaps less common over your way? Anyway, just curious as to their compatability. Cheers, Tim. |

Tim.The Worseley 4/44 engine is a Xpag 1250 engine,(titled xpaw) not 1500.About the only difference is the location of the dip stick. |

My customer has already found a crankshaft Thanks Len |

So the Wolseley 4/44 crank shafts might be compatible with our MG XPAG's? Just wondering, for the sake of substituting for the now becoming scarce originals. Anyone out there with knowledge of this? |

Tim, the 4/44 engine is a XPAW - a variant of the XPAG - main difference is the location of the dipstick and it only had a single carbie. I have a XPAW engine fitted with twin TD carbies sitting in my TD chassis. Stuart |
