MG TD TF 1500 - XPAG/TD3 finds a new home
Bruce Cunha and I took a road trip yesterday to each pick up parts I came home with the following:
MK II XPAG/TD3/17678 engine block with rods and pistons MK II cylinder head (168425) bare MK II exhaust manifold (168432) MK II distributor (40348A) dated 5-52 Pics are posted on the other site Tom Lange, if you have a moment, could you tell me what chassis # this engine came out of? I don’t know how to do reverse research using engine numbers as a reference. My other MK II, TD/c-16920 with XPAG/TD3/17292, was built on June 9 1952 so I’m presuming this was installed somewhere around late June to possibly August (?) ‘52. In the MG Car Club T Register records, the current engine in TD9017 is XPAG/TD/7678, although there are a couple of question marks after the number. |

Bill, is the engine number stamped in the block above the tag? Tim |

Yes numbers match. I had to crop the pic to load it on the BBS forum. Bill Chasser TD-4834 |
