Russ: I have not heard anything since late Sept, and I am hoping that no news is good news... He and his are in our thoughts and prayers each day. Mike Gambordella |

Thanks to all who expressed their warm words of kindness for my speedy recovery. After over 6 weeks of extensive tests in clinics, doctor's offices, and 2 hospitals, I came home last evening. Louise took me out for a haircut this morning and to get my beard trimmed. It's great to be out and about again. But I'm still very weak. What I have is treatable and within 6 to 12 months (or less, I hope) I should be back in perfect shape. 80 to 90% of people who have what I have live to a useful ripe old age and for the other 10 to 20% means that I'll have to slow down a bit when I feel tired. Thanks to all Don Elliott |

Don, Mary Beth and I are quite relieved to hear you are coming out of the woods from whatever you've been battling. It's terrific to see your name back on the BBS fielding questions from fellow TRers in need. We look forward to seeing you and TRusty on the road again. Get some rest! Dear friends, I look for some information about STANDART PENANT 1957 produced by Standart Motor Co. Koventry web links ect. Thank you in advance. |

After searching standard pennant for a while, and avoiding the links about little flags, this caught my eye, and has been an enjoyable read: http://www.emdac.demon.co.uk/phil/standard/pcdmod.html It's about a Standard 10 restoration, it seems a Pennant is a close relative. Maybe there are parts in a Pennant that were used later in a Triumph Herald or Spitfire. Hope this helps. |

Don Glad to hear you are on the mend. Should be ready for spring driving? Good luck! Brian |

For the last 9 days, I have been feeling a lot better as the effects of the 1st chemo started to wear off. But still very weak, dizzy and tired. My appetite has been good. Today I went for my my 2nd dose of chemo. There will be enough for 4 days. They attached a banana pack with the chemo in it - around my waist, plug in the tiny capillary hose to the permanent catheter in my arm that leads up, then down to my heart. This is all done as an out-patient. I got my winter flu shots at the same time. The next time I will see a doctor is November 25th. Don Elliott, 1958 TR3A |
