Triumph TR6 - Any info on Dave Randles?

Hello,

This is a request of help to everybody.

I am unsuccessfully trying to contact Mr. Dave Randles, from Deeside in Flintshire, UK. I know that he is well known in the UK scene of classic-cars, especially TRs, and perhaps somebody of you can help me.

Dave Randles agreed with me to bring two TR3 plus several bulky parts to Spain. He told me that he was taking the ferry to the continent on 27th April. Some days later he sent me some SMS, explaining that he had problems with the trailer across France. Then, on 5th May I lost the contact with him. I phoned to his mobile and home and nobody answers there. We had very frequent phone contacts until then. He does not answer the messages to his email address, either.

For the last two weeks, I have been worried by what might have happened to Dave. He told to me that he was coming with a friend of him called Phil, but I have no contact phone of this fellow. I am afraid Dave had some accident. He was supposed to be hauling two TR3s, across Europe.

The cars which should be registered to my name were:

-an apple-green TR3A – comm.. number 37317 –registered OFF 329
-a white TR3 - comm.. number 10061 L- registered GFO 921

Some friends and I myself paid to him 10,000 pound as part of the price for the cars and spares. I do not know him personally, but we talked by phone several times a week for three months, and he always seemed so nice and honest. I am not worried for the money, but for him.

I would appreciate if somebody could tell me something about Dave Randles. Hopefully, he is OK. However in that case, I would not understand why this lack of communication…

Thank you very much for any help.

Jesus

I hate to be cynical, but I think that you have seen the last of Dave, Phil, and your ten thousand pounds.

I hope that I am wrong.
T. M. Brex

Sounds like a "reverse Nigeria" deal to me.
Don from Jersey

You need to stop worrying about Mr. Randles' health & call the cops Jesus.

Good Luck,
Bob

Yeah, I think you've been ripped off. Get the police involved. Interpol perhaps since it is involving several countries? Definitly the police in the UK.

good luck!
Tim Brand

Jesus,
I hate to agree with the others but I feel that the person you chatted with most likely wasn't even the real "Dave Randles". Gather all your info and get both countries police involved asap.
Good Luck

Thanks to all for your inputs and interest in helping me in this sad case.

Perhaps T.M. Brex is correct, but I prefer to be cautious, especially when the reputation of other is involved.

Surely if in the end, this is a case of fraud, we will take legal actions and ask the Interpol for an investigation. In addition, I will make the biggest effort in publicising the case in the internet, so you will know the whole story.

The person I was in contact with for several months was really Dave Randles. I got his home and mobile phone number from the beginning, and also his home address. His wife is Spanish, from Valencia, and once I phoned her, calling to Mr. Randles’s home phone. Yes, P A, that one is his number. Do you have any other information about him? Do you want to contact me privately?

Thank you again for your interest.

Jesus, in the United States, the postal authorities might help you if you mailed the money. It is definitely time for you go to the authorities before the trail grows too cold.

Jesus, sorry to hear of your loss, hope you get the bast**d. Scary to think anyone can read these entries
assume our good names and then rip off our friends.
Always surprises me how many people have no conscience.

Dave and Phil are on the beach with a drink in one hand and a girl in the other.

Sorry lad. Act NOW, they are busy spending your money.
