Triumph TR6 - Brake light switch
Hi everyone, I am looking for a generic brake light switch. NAPA had the origional listed in their catalog but it is not available. Anyone know of another car which uses the same type of switch? Cheers, Neil. |

I put a NAPA # SL-169 brake light switch on my MGA. I believe it's for a GM car of some sort, but it is as basic of a switch as I could find. I had to fabricate a bracket to mount it, but it works like a dream. |

Neil, I went through a similar problem with my 73 TR. But by trial and error, I (along with the local parts guy) discovered that a early GM pick up truck switch seems to work and fit just right. Actually better with the proper worm drive adjustment. I went with it and all is good. I know you concourse guys are rolling your British eyes ,......but I'm driving her and thats what counts. |

I've heard the brake light switch from a late BMW 2002 and 320i/s will also fit. Probably a bit better part too. |
