Triumph TR6 - Brake lines
Does anyone know what comes in the Brake Pipe sets? I mean do they come with the pipe clips, unions etc? Thanks Les |

Les Who is the supplier? Rick |
Rick Crawford |
Rick Rimmer or Moss, unless someone knows better? Les |

Les hold on, I think I can find a SS supplier with pre bent pipes. |

Les MOSS UK ( I assume them as you say Rimmer Bros). http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=36034 Looks like just the preformed pipes ..no clips and no flex lines. RIMMER http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/rimmer/triumph/tr6/brakes-pipes#Servo%20Hose%20&%20Fittings%20(LHD) They also appear to be pipes only but give you the part numbers for all the clips.the pipe kit says #42 which in the diagrams is just the pipes with ends. NOTE: Be careful on the kit you buy re the metric or imperial thread front calipers. Rick |

Les these are better than OE steel pipe sets not SS. Rick |
Rick Crawford |
Les Sorry, one more point. Rimmers could very well be pre bent to exact original shape. This is a BIG time saver. I would ask. The MOSS kit is definitely not pre bent to OE shape. Rick |

Check out these guys. You might have to call them . I know they have done TR stuff. http://www.classictube.com/ |

Les, I recommend Kai Radicke at http://www.wbclassics.com/ His SS lines are preformed for the specific Triumph application (custome made when you order) and his prices are usally very competitive. db |

Les The kits from Moss and Rimmer Bros are made by Automec. They are very popular in England, but don't seem to be trusted over here for some reason. I bought a set for my TR7 years ago and was impressed at how easy they were to bend to shape. The kit I had came with all the clips and such you could want, though they were brightly coloured plastic, which may not suit everyone's taste. You can buy direct from Automec (www.automec.co.uk), but the exchange rate makes it seem simpler to buy from Moss. Cheers Alistair |

You have to bend to shape??? thats why they sell pre bent! |
DON KELLY |
hey the wishbone site is down for a redo . You'll have to wait or call. |
DON KELLY |
Don - Yes, you have to bend the pipes yourself. I think that there are places you can buy a pre-restored TR6 as well, if things like bending pipes are too much trouble!! |
Alistair |
If you want SS then the pre bent ones are a big help. |

Hi all, re S/S brake lines. If Kai Radicke sells them, they will be the cats "wiskers". He is one of the most Tr knowledgable people I know and his stuff is top notch. IMO to date, I have to put him in the same group as Richard Good, or him with Kai. Didnt know he had them, now that I do, thats where mine will be coming from. KJ |

Anybody bought a set from him?? would like to see the website up. Don |
DON KELLY |
Don, I'll send you a photo of a set from Kai. Check your email this weekend. Price is right and Kai assures me that it'll include EVERYTHING necessary for full hookup. To me that means including stainless hoses to the calipers and drums and all the other connectors such as those from the Master cylinder to the PDWA (prebent) of course. db |

Great,how about cost? |
DON KELLY |
Don, Don't remember. I'll try to find my note. db |
