Triumph TR6 - Can't stop the buzzing
Got my MGA on the road and drove it to Ohio last weekend. Now time to look at my TR6 Took her for a nice ride, she ran great. Got home shut her off (headlights off), pulled the key and the warning buzzer came on and wouldn't shut off. Sounds like the seatbelt warning buzzer my dad disconnected years ago (he bought her new in 1976) Any suggestions or am I missing something? Did have to adjust the seat before the ride Thanks Russell |

Russell There is only one buzzer in a '76 and it is the seat belt module. What will active the buzzer is the LH seat belt switch, the LH door switch and a ignition key switch. I have no idea on the last item as to where or what it does (other than it could activate the buzzer). To kill the buzzer totally you will see a purple wire (+12V) attached to the module. Disconnect it but tape the connector up as it is a "constant" 12 volt supply. Rick C PS the wiring schematic for your car can be found at:Dan's WEB site. Look under "Stock Schematics" http://www.advanceautowire.com/ |
