Triumph TR6 - Car Covers

Looking at getting a car cover ...I've been checking prices and they seem good at our sponsor LBCC. with the Moss covers. My question is has anyone bought the Moss ones and how do they fit ?? I know I can buy a generic one anywhere but they don't fit that nice.

Hey, Charlie. Glad you brought this up. It's been YEARS since I bought a flannel cover from Moss. It fit fine - you have to make the antenna hole, of course. All the flannel's gone now, so time for a new cover. The flannel "sheds" fibres, so the next one will probably be a synthetic model. I'm concerned that a poly prop cover would abraid the paint in wind. Am I being too concerned?

At LBCC there is a sale on ..the Duravent # 237-480 is cheaper the the flannel one # 238-480..go figure ??
There is a blurb about them in the Moss catalog
I don't think you have to be concerned about the material rubbing the paint...are there not elastics and tie down points to hold it snug ?

Outside or inside? I put a fully retractable antenna on, haven't used the cover since. Probably should have, but it's a pain either way. Inside - a good wax job should protect the paint from scratches, outside - just have to put up with a few I guess.

Mine will be for the inside when it's time to put it away for the winter...perish that thought !!

237-480 is the Duravent which was on sale yesterday for $89.25..when I went to order it today it's $93.46..just my luck !!

238-480 is the flannel one and it's 127.46 ??

Watch COSTCO. I picked up a duravent type outdoor cover for 40.00 US. The fit is a little loose as it is made for midsize (?) autos. Bungie down at the tie-down points and it's acceptable, just maybe a foot too long.

My cover arrived today and it fits well..it was made for the 6 and looks a lot better than the generic "fits all" I tried from my local Can Tire store.
