Triumph TR6 - Car Covers

Looking for opinions on the Simoniz Pure Premium car covers and sizing for my 6. I've just bought a one... size medium for cars 14' to 16'.. and since I do not get my 76 until next spring I cannot try it out for size. The TR6 shop manual says that a 76 is 13' 6" long overall including the rubber bumpers so Simoniz's size "small" for cars up to 14' may work well. Anyone have one? Thx in advance guys. Ken.

Hi Ken,

I don't remember if mine is a Simoniz but I bought it a Crappy Tire. It was their top of the line for indoor use and on sale at the time. I bought the small size on the recommendation of somebody else on the BBS (can't remember who) and it fits perfectly. I have a 74 with the rubber bumpers.

Perfect Sylvain, thx. Mine also came from Crappy Tire so we likely have the same cover. I thought the medium (14' to 16') would be sloppy if the size description on the box was an accurate statement of actual size but it's good to confirm with someone who knows. I'll switch back to the small. Ken.

I have a Simoniz Pure Car cover for my TR6. Canadian Tire number 41-2231-0. Size is small 14 feet or less. It is a good fit and I like it. I would think the one you have will fit but be more baggy. I would go with the small. I don't use it outside at all so I can't comment on that. My car is a garage kept car and the cover is to keep the dust off it and paint protected. The cover has not seen rain or snow.

I bought the made for TR6 Duravent cover from Moss at $90.00 USD three years ago. This year it needs to be waterproofed but it has gotten a lot of use, held up well except for the damn hungry squirrel (another story) fits great and is nice and soft. A bit pricey to land here in Canada but I like it.

Hi Mike... I took the medium back and bought the one you have. Thanks to you and Bob for the help.

That was easy... now, Christmas shopping for my wife. Hmmm, do you think she'd like the Union Jack flag for the bedroom talked about a few threads back? ;)

I do not know Ken.... buying that big flag and hanging it up in the bedroom is deffinitely pushing things. All I am allowed to do is store my top cover under the bed for the winter.
