Triumph TR6 - Car pulls to right under braking

My '74 TR6 pulls to the right under braking. It's more pronounced under hard braking. I've changed the pads and shoes. I see no signs of leaking fluid. Where should a look next. Thanks, Jeff

Things to check

*equal tire pressures side to side
*Caliper or rear cylinder are not seized and both move freely (ie the pistons) when pressure is applied
*make sure that the rotors are true with no run-out
*make sure the rear drums are round
*make sure that flex lines are not kinked

check all your sway bar mounting points.I had the same problem once, turned out to be a broken u-bracket.

Had exactly the same problem on a 78 Stag. Checked everything including wheel alignment, calipers, joints etc. Turned out to be the flexible brake hose on one side. The diameter internally had reduced through age. This meant that the side that was okay was receiving the correct pressure when the pedal was applied. Under soft breaking it wasn't so bad but give the brakes a stab and it veered to one side due to the failed pipe being unable to supply enough pressure quickly enough. It took me ages to work it out as the hoses were perfect externally.

In my list of things to check above, I mentioned that make sure that the flex lines don't have a kink in it which can happen easily when re-installing new lines.
For any owner it is so important that these flex lines replaced every 8-10 years as the rubber will develop cracks, get chaffed and become weak and thus fail. It is a part easily overlooked my most owners and is fairly straight forward to replace. I can't believe how many TRs are on the road with original flex lines, the youngest of which are now 25years old.
As a note, make sure you use a line wrench when attaching the fittings and NOT a simple open ended spanner.

Ditto on Trevor and Stevens comments. I always make up stainless braded lines for my cars. I think TS Imported offers a kit.
