Triumph TR6 - Congratulations, Don!

Congratulations to Don Elliott, recently appearing in Classic Motorsport.
Don and his immaculate TR3A, which he has owned since new, travel far and wide across Canada and the U.S., as much as 7000-8000 miles per year promoting everything to do with Triumphs.
As a true enthusiast and ambassador for our hobby he richly deserves his moment of "fame".
Congratulations, Don.

Great going Don
Your the envy of all of us!

So, we have an original car
An original driver
Ahh but do you have the original goose?

Doug ('gooseless in Edmonton')
P.S. Hows my goose doing Jim?
Doug Campbell

Thanks guys for your kind words.

Rod - I drove Trusty through Idaho in August 2000 on my way to VTR in Portland Oregon. It was 104 F driving through Boise. BTW, I picked up the longest distance driven in a TR to Portland with 3434 miles to get there.

No imediate plans to "drive west again my good young man".

But I drove "TRusty" over 8200 miles this past summer.

Don....
I thought you might be tempted by Triumphest 2004, at Lake Tahoe in September....or some other bit of foolishness! Keep us informed where you might be heading!
And just be careful who you call 'young'!!!

Next June, I plan to drive down to VIR where all the US TR racers will take on the Brits as they did at Mid-Ohio in 2002. The Brits ran away with all the hardware. Then I plan to drive all around down there. Y'all heard about the Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. Then it will be up to Springfield, Ohio for the 2004 National TRA Meet.

Triumphfest . . . . Hhhhuuummmmm !!! I've been a member of TRSC since 1987 and was a member of SCTOA from 1987 to 1991 - Hhhhuuuummmm ! Not many of those members have seen my TR. Who knows ??

Doug,

That damn Prairie Goose is VERY particular. I've never SEEN such whining and honking.

You'd think I never FEED the silly thing.

And there IS that issue about the mess in the garage.

...oh, and the cat's not crazy about him either.

Jim,

Just an update for you. Apparently with a few wiring changes the goose can become an onboard computer. It will brake your car, steer it, and even goose it. Of course then you will have a bird brain driving you car.
