Vandervell is the brand of choice. Within Vandervell, VP2 if you can find them. They are somewhat pricey (about 2x the price of the VP19) compared to others, but have a high load bearing capability. If you are building a high performance engine, definitely shoot for these. The Vandervell VP19 would be next on my list. It is still a very fine bearing for a stock/mildly warmed over motor, strength in bearing is about 65% of the VP2 bearings. Roadster was selling nothing but Vandervells (don't remember which type though), but I noticed that they have a "KB" prefix in front of the number now, no idea what this means but I would call and ask if I were buying bearings. I am not sure what brand(s) Moss and Victoria are selling. APT sells both the VP2 and the VP19. |

I sent mine in and had them moly coated. It's a little added protection. I use this coating on my race cart. I went 2 seasons on one set of engine bearings with no wear. |

Steve is correct about the Vandervell's, but the desireable ones can be difficult to obtain. I recommend you also consider Clevite as they manufacture excellent bearings in the tradition of Vendervell with it's mult-layer design. I know they have sets for TR6 apps as I checked into it over a year ago. Just go to their website to find the oversize P/N you need and also locate the nearest supplier while there. Good luck.
