Triumph TR6 - Cross Member
Anyone have a cross member from a '73-'74 TR6 with which they could part? Apparently there was three variants to the cross member. Chris |

I did not know this. What is the dif? |

I'm not exactly sure, Don. Here's what I know...the Moss catalog lists three variants: thru '72; '73-'74; '75-'76. As well, someone who is fabricating a part for me was given a cross member that he intended to modify for my purposes. In comparing what I currently have (a '74) with what he obtained, the two are different with respect to the location (spacing) of the bolt holes. |

It's all in the bumper braces, guys. I didn't realize this until I parted out a 70, and saw the difference between it and my 74, which has 2 tabs for the upper bumper braces. Then the higher mounted bumper on the 74.5 thru 76 probably requires different bracing again. Rod |

Chris, I picked up a good used one from British Auto Sport 1888 485 2277. He's in southern Ontario but I'm sure he coild ship if you're in the states. Cost about $50 bucks. Chris |

Christopher, Thanks for pointing me to British Auto Sport. Although he (I didn't catch his name, but a nice guy) did not have one, he pointed me to Team Triumph (www.teamtriumph.com) in Ohio. |

Chris, I have a spare that came from a '74 out in my shed. I can check its condition tomorrow, if you still need one. Cheers, Tom www.triumphowners.com/735 |
