Triumph TR6 - Cylinder Head oil Feed

Has anyone installed an external cylinder head oil feed? Is this upgrade recommended. Saw several TRs @ recent Triumph show with this upgrade. Any issues with installation? Thanks in advance. Shawn.

Shawn, search the archives, article--"Rocker Oil Feed"

Hi Doug,

Thanks. SSD.
SSD Mr.

My car's been alive and well since 74 w/o one...unsure as to weather it's "necessary" I've no plan for one as of yet. I ran British Bikes here in NE Florida for the past 30 years and everyone insisted I needed aftermarket top-end oil feed lines...as of yet I've never done it on those either. YMMV

Shawn... I too saw several at a local show last weekend with that oil cooler line treatment but geez... I'd check with the guys that have driven t'ousands upon t'ousands of miles without before adding the kit. Sorry, I couldn't help myself from speaking a little Newfie with the tousands and all.

Depends on condition of the motor. If you run the alloy VC, then, not a good choice.
Ted told me was not needed on my motor and spend the money else where. Already owned one so I gave it to my bro- in-law
