Triumph TR6 - Dan Masters' TR6 Wiring Harness
Hi Folks: A guy on another forum is asking about the Advance Auto Wire harness and I have no experience with that. Can anybody answer these questions? "Do you have to wrap your own wire bundles? What about terminations...if bullet connectors are provided, how do you crimp them on"? Answers seem obvious; 1) yes, you do have to wrap your own bundles and 2) you crimp connectors with a tool you buy. However, I await informed opinion. Cheers, Bob |

1.) Yes 2.) yes 3.) You forgot...get lots of plastic ties and a tying tool for assembling before you wrap the whole thing. db |

Thanks Guys. Kind of a no-brainer huh? But he asked. I had referred him to the site but he said he didn't think the kits were what he needed and he did not want to try to adapt a TR kit to a Spit. It was obvious from his post that he had not visited the Advance site or he would have seen the listings for the Spit kits. Bob |

There's another one out there that uses the stock wiring and an updated panel http://www.74tr6.com/fusepanel.htm |

Yeah Don, you and I would know it as needle nosed pliers!! db |

Another piece of equipment I bought was a pair of pliers for 1/4 and 1/8 inch slide connectors I used a Molex crimper. Because the connectors I used had the tabs that bent over the wire. |
