Triumph TR6 - Dash guages sealant

In assessing my instruments, I determined that a thorough cleaning and repainting of the bezels would suffice. When I removed the bezels I observed that the sealant between the glass and the bezel was, in some cases, a flattened O ring; in others, what appeared to be application of a chaulk like RTV, but in any event, they all need replacing after 34 years. These items are not sourced in any of the parts manuals. I've found and purchased O rings for the instrument to dash seal, but am at a loss regarding the interior seal. Comments/suggestions solicited. Thanks.

After I cleaned mine I carefully ran a thin bead of black silicone /type rubber sealant and it worked great...as it dried overnight I kept pressure on the ring with a book or an adjustable clamp.

Thanks for your comment. That was generally my thinking and I purchased a tube of silicone sealant, but then reconsidered after I found the flattened O Ring. Did you reassemble and then apply the pressure or just lay the glass in the bezel and applied pressure there to be further reassembled later?

Update...I have discovered...:

who has the proper O-rings for our guage to dash AND the appropriate O-RING (yes there is one) for the glass to bezel INSIDE the guage application, in case anyone is interested. Email him and he'll send you a price sheet for both large and small guages, Smiths or Jaeger for LBCs.
