Triumph TR6 - EDIS ?

Has anyone installed an EDIS system on their TR6 ? If yes, can you give me details of which trigger wheel you used on the crank and where you attached the wheel sensor to.

I intend to install a system on my car (AC 289) fitted with a TR6 engine.

Thanks,
John

John- Google the question. I have seen info on it but don't remember where. BTW what happened to the 289?

Thanks Don - I have a lot of info on the subject already. I have installed this system on a MG car before. It is the 6 cylinder 2.5 (TR6) engine I lack info on. Not many people have done this on a six before - if they have they are not active on the net.

A full description of an EDIS installation on a turbo TR6 can be found at:

http://www.turbo-tr6.info/tr6_turbo_part2.html

This page includes both volumetric efficiency and spark advance tables.
The ability to accurately control the spark setting across the entire engine operating spectrum is fantastic.
Please note that I would recommend purchasing the sensor wheel for a Ford Escort and using a custom built fan spacer. The alignment of the Aerostar sensor wheel is a little difficult.
Please drop me a line if you have additional questions.

Thanks Lee,

The table data is great and will be a good starting point for my set up trials. I do like your installation, very neat and appears well engineered.
