Triumph TR6 - Front spoiler
My '76 lost it's front spoiler somewhere along the line. I haven't had any luck finding a replacement at any of the usual parts outlets. My next quest is to try to get lucky at a junkyard, but I'm not too hopeful of finding a nice one, if any at all. Anyone have any experience in locating one of these? |

Karl, I have saw several go through on E-Bay over the last few months, a couple of which were as good as new, at least from the info and the pic's. At one time I had a spare but I'm not sure about that anymore as most of my spare parts have been boxed up in anticipation of an up coming move. I would keep an eye on E-Bay. While there is some junk on there, there is also some good parts going through. I have purchased several items through E-bay, and only had one item that wasn't as good as advertised. Good luck. |

What's up with the vendors not selling the spoiler anymore? Don K |

Karl Where are you in Colorado? If in the Denver area, check with Paul Dierschow at Sports Car Craftsmen Telephone (303) 422-9272. These are the folks that work on my MGB and they just finished a ground up, 2 cars to make 1, build of a 76 TR6 for me (that I get to finally pick up tomorrow!). Let them know that Bob sent you! If you are up near Ft Collins, there is another shop The Motor Way LTD. that I have heard good things about but do not have first hand experience with. good luck bob g |

Karl--A used spoiler was posted on ebaY this morning. Seems like a good opportunity for someone to manufacture these babies as there is quite a demand for them. Good luck. Rick O. |

I also would try e-bay. I have bought a lot of parts from other nice tr6 owners for my rebuild. Does anyone have info on how/where to mount the spoiler ? dave |

Dave, the spoiler is mounted under the front bumper with three bolts and nuts with large washers. Don't remember the size but who guess the screws are 8-32 about 2" long. the front wings have a hole for the two outside mountings and there is one in the center. They are not very large holes. I tried most of the new & NOS suppliers but was always told the spoiler is no longer avialable. As others have noted, look for a good used one on ebay or someone parting out a TR. Good luck in finding one. |
