Triumph TR6 - Heater connections

The outlets for the heater core are different indicating one is top and one is bottom. Anyone have any idea which is which? Also, the connection at the firewall has one of the four outlets canted a bit, again suggesting a proper orientation, top or bottom and inside the engine compartment or inside the cockpit. Need help!! None of the supply manuals address this and my digital photo library is missing some apparently valuable details. Thanks.

Don to the rescue again. Is there anything you don't have?

Ha, Michael, ask Don where he put his digital copy of the Bentley Shop Manual!! CRS gets us all, just some of us (me for one) sooner than others!!

Don's photograph helped to determine that the canted connection is on the heater side and I think on the top which is connected to the bottom outlet on the heater core, (the hoses cross over one another) but the short and long outlets on the heater core are not evident. I suspect that it has something to do with the internals of the heater core to have the flow one directional. That's why it matters and I don't have a clue!!

Mike TAke your car apart and 13 years later still not have it back together again and spend WAY to much time on TR forums and you'll have it all too.

I'm flattered Michael, but alas, I'm far from what you say.
I want to grow up to be just like Rick and Rod

For those who may be interested and to close this thread, the longer outlet from the heater core is on top and connects to the straight outlet on the firewall connector on the bottom and then to the heater control valve. the bent pipe on the firewall connector is on the top; heater side of the firewall and connects to the short (bottom) connector on the heater core. Thanks to Don and Albert at TRF and of course the trusty Vol II Green Book.
