Triumph TR6 - Ignition switch

Hi everyone!
I'm getting tired of "wigglin/jigglin' the steering wheel & key to try & start my 76. The key is worn & it's a pain to reach under the wheel. Has anyone switched to a dash mounted switch? What's the best way to pull the old lock out? Thanks!

I am presently re-locating it. Sorry "Concourse guys"....but the Brits were on crack when they placed it where the human elbow can not bend to reach.

Marcello,
What make/type of switch are you using? I would like to place it in the unsed dimmer sw. hole. Do you have to ream out the hole?
Thanks
ED Edward Dorsch

Ed- I use that hole for my switch. No cutting needed. Slips right in.

OOPS
You should put a fancy red push button starter in.
Then hide a switch under the dash that cuts off power to the switch.
