Triumph TR6 - Instrument Bezels

Seems no-one supplies these. Has anyone found a source.Mine are the chrome/black type - very smart until they turn into black/pitted type, which really spoil dashboard appearance. Is rechroming an option once they get to the pitted or blistered state ? Does anybody have any ? $$$ !! Peter

Hey, Peter. The "Black" is there strictly for anti-glare at night. It was pretty cruddy around the speedo a while back, so I removed it. There were all kinds of funny shines/reflections afterwards that are quite distracting...

An option is to clean up and rechrome the bezel (if needed), then find a silk-screener that will put the black back on. It shouldn't be hard to find one during the "off" season - if there IS one there.

Hi Peter

You might want to look into one of Jim the Gooses connections here. Never tried them but know others that have used this method and realy liked it. Adds to your skills as well. Pitting etc. can be removed if not to deep. And like anything else unless you want to pay real big bucks they won't be to carefull. DIY go to the Caswell emblem. Probably Jims to but he ain't honking about it.

Thanks guys, I am trying the 'Briton'. The painting part is easy, silk screening not necessary, but need decent condition chrome first.Am really surprised no-one supplies these. Now if I wanted them for an MGB..........everyones got 'em - why is this ? Peter

Don't know about the US but MG parts are much bigger business on this side of the pond, hence more competition

Actually, about that Caswell deal. It's a company that advertises on my site.

They sell plating stuff. Do it yourself kits for chrome plating, nickle, you name it. Pretty great stuff too, no crap. They are a quality company that I'm proud to be associated with.

I use their products on my own cars.

Hope this helps,
