Triumph TR6 - It Lives Again!

How sweet it is! Last started in mid-April; disassembled all Summer - owner recovered from non-life threatening surgery and managed to get it out of the garage on Aug 31st. Not much of a major milestone for some but a good one for me. Have driven it all day yesterday and today and will start sorting out other thunks and clunks. There are no leaks from the diff seals and the Good Parts adjustable TA bracket kit, installed as per Richard's instructions indicates decently accurate camber even before professional adjustment so I am very pleased. Have isolated two of three clunks/thunks to be inner tie rod on rack (have a new rack ready to go)and possible busted trans mount. Have also isolated problem with dash lights and Volt meter to be the voltage regulator as it's making very strange clicking noises and intermittent flashes. I will post a more appropriate pic tomorrow as this one is basically a replay (though current - taken yesterday) copy of previous pics. This is fun again! Got 'er done Charlie!
Cheers guys ( and gals)

Hey Malcolm:
Yup - that's the single hoop bar. Spent a couple days sanding it with various grits until I had all the pits out of the chrome, then gave it two coats of etch primer and two of satin black. I just have to drill a few holes in the rear parcel deck area to attach it. I've cut a few 1/8" flat plates to go underneath for added strength.
Was going to post action pics today but now have the dash out running down ground and gauge problems. Pic.
Cheers,
Bob

Rick/Charlie:
Great to be back behind the wheel instead of under the thing. After all that work, pleased to report my rear end is not leaking; neither is the differential. Oops :0)
Linda opted out on the Sunday run yesterday but will get a couple in. I need to install the new rack (on the car; Linda's is okay for a couple more years) to correct the inner tie rod problem. Just as well to replace the entire 35 yr old rack as one tie rod. It's rattling like a sob so I need to do that now as I can't get an alignment.
Cheers,
Bob
