Triumph TR6 - looking for a dash mounted clock
I'm looking for a clock to mount in the dash board of my TR6 where the dimmer reostat is located. If I can find a Smiths 2" analog clock I can cut a hole encompassing the reostat hole and the indicator lamp (what ever it indicates) and have a usable accesory there since the reostat is always full on anyway. Does anyone know of a suitable after market clock or another british car that has a suitable clock in it? |

I Know this guy in the east coast who sells armrests for the tr6 with Smith clocks in it. Send him a email to see where he's getting them from. Hope this lead helps you. http://www.triumphconsoles.com Regards, Benji 71 tr6 |

HAY Benji, a '71 TR6! What is your commission and build information? Rick C |

skikir, The Gaugeguys have them. Listed at 109 USD. Last time I got a quote though, the "FULL V" bezel was an extra 15 USD. Check out the link below, and the Smith's clock is at the bottom of the page. http://www.gaugeguys.com/Smiths/Authentic/classic.htm Cheers, Mark Riddle |

Benji, When I saw the console page my eyes flew open, pupils constricted, nostrils flared and my mouth went to a full grimmace...until I saw the price! Man are those what the Dr. ordered or what!? A clock and CUP HOLDERS! I'll put them on the long list after the Good's Triple carb intakes. Mark, thanks for the link but $110 is a little steep for a clock. I hate to say this but I've gone to Ebay and bid on a couple different types for about $12. |

Rick, my 71 has engine number cc60756E. I think that is the same as the commission number but I don't have the other info here at work. I seem to recall it came off the assembly line in late 1970. Is it older or younger than yours? John |

Auto Meter has comparable item and I found a site that sells the black face clock for US 55.00. http://www.ajusa.com/cgi-bin/autometer/details?part_num=1785&lookup=1&ajr_skey=16dbbae2fa0df34d9fa266c66cfff5f2 Skikir, I can relate on the feeling you got when you saw the site! I think I'm still having spasms... and maybe, jsut maybe, Santa will be nice this year! I have to think possitive! Abner |

skikir, Hang loose on the Richard Good Triple carb set. I've got 'em now but, I think I'm going with the supercharge set up from Moss (soon to be out). In the case of the armrest, there's a gal I saw at the ATDI in Olympia. I think she's with the triumph club in Portland. If so... check hers out. Personally, I didn't care for the adapter part that has the clock. Armrest is a nice option!! I've got the Amco armrest and happy with it. Benji 71 tr6 |

I think late (rubber bumper) mgbs have the clock your looking for,my plan was to use the duel gage heat/oil from a mg midget and free up one hole in the dash for the clock to go into.Jeff |
